The new year has just begun, and what better time to look forward to what the year has to offer. Here at Bike Stop there are loads of events lined up, on top of the best motorcycling events the UK has to offer.
Stevenage is a town just north of London in the heart of Hertfordshire, but it's also the former home of the legendary motorcycle manufacturer - Vincent Motorcycles. For over 30 years now it's been home to Bike Stop, but unfortunately all that's left of Vincent Motorcycles in Stevenage is a plaque denoting where the factory once was, just down the road from where Bike Stop is.
The days are short, and it's definitely getting colder, but there's still Christmas to look forward to! Buying gifts for bikers can be a tricky business, especially if you want it to be a surprise - gear needs to be tailored to their physical dimensions, but this shouldn't stop you being able to delight your biker husband/wife/dad/mum/friend on the day, and that's where I'll try and help.
Bike Stop has been open for nearly 35 years now and its selection of gear and reputation has steadily grown, while maintaining a personal touch to our service that can be lacking in online and warehouse vendors. We’re located in the centre of Old Town Stevenage in Hertfordshire – metres away from the original home of Vincent Motorcycles, now sadly only marked by a plaque. Bike Stop itself is also situated in a lovely old Grade 2 listed building with dark exposed beams in the ceiling inside and often called a “Tardis” as it is much bigger than it looks from the outside! We've also recently been featured in MCN again as one of their top places to visit - take a look below.
For those of you in the unfortunate few who are not currently subscribed to our newsletter, the July issue came out this week.
