National Rally 2014 at Bike Stop

This weekend just passed (5th July) we  were very pleased to host a checkpoint for the ACU National Road Rally. Bike Stop was open from 9am Saturday all the way through until 1:30pm Sunday. Throughout the day and night there were over 100 riders that checked in at the control, bringing a huge variety of bikes.

We provided a multitude of services to the riders: from refreshments such as cakes, coffee and more but also cleaning visors - Jarv, one of our staff, even fixed a bike when the rider was having issues, and considering we don't normally fix bikes I'd say that is pretty impressive!

If you haven't been following this blog, it's worth having a look at: www.ridingalongwayslowly.blogspot.co.uk - the blogger graced us with a check in at Bike Stop, and what an amazing story it is! He completed the National Road Rally on a Honda C110 which he restored, all for the cause of raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Throughout the event we had a collection for Herts Air Ambulance which was great, seeing lots of riders making contributions for another great cause. Along with that, we had a raffle for the riders who gave their email and we would like to congratulate Robert Hauxwell, Robin Hayles and Nigel Johnson on their Bike Stop Gift Voucher win!
