Terms & Conditions
Every effort will be made to deliver mail ordered goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted, within the time stipulated at the time of your order. However, we will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any delay in delivery. In this case we will inform you of the delay and the reason for the delay as soon as is practical. You will become the owner of the goods you ordered and responsible for risk or loss of, or damage to them, once they have been delivered to you. Prices quoted for post or shipping within the UK may be subject to additional costs for delivery to addresses offshore, or in Northern Ireland or the Scottish Highlands.
Shipping costs for overseas orders will be quoted at the time of order and must be agreed prior to orders being despatched.
Any typographical, clerical, other error or omission on our website, or in any sale literature, quotation of offer, invoice or other document or information issued by bike stop, shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of bike stop and without any prior notification.
Helmets are sold on non returnable basis.
Due to health and safety issues, once a helmet has left our premises it is considered to be “second hand”. A returned helmet can not be sold again by us on an “as new” basis, as we are unable to verify its condition to a future prospective buyer.
We therefore reserve the right to refuse returns on helmets purchased either by mail order or in our shop. Please ensure that you are happy with all details of the helmet, including fit, size, style and colour before placing an order.
Helmets sold in the UK are not currently subject to VAT.
Payment and Deposits
Cheques should be made payable to: bike stop.
Please allow 8 working days for cheques to clear. (A working day is any day other than weekends and bank holidays).
Goods will be despatched once funds have cleared. Please include your name and address and cheque guarantee card details on the back of your cheque.
We may ask for proof of ID and/or address when transactions are made using credit or debit card.
We reserve the right to decline mail order transactions where we are unable to obtain satisfactory verification.
We are unable to send mail order goods to a third party address.
On any non stock special order item ordered, we reserve the right to ask for payment of a deposit which may be charged to the customers credit/debit card or by cleared funds made payable by cheque, of 50% of the order value which is non returnable in the event of cancellation, based upon the customer’s implicit instructions to order the goods on their behalf.
Returns
If you wish to return your item, please contact us, we will then issue you with a returns reference number which you must include within and upon your return.
All goods must be returned within 7 days, unused and in the original packaging, with all relevant tags and labels intact. A Video or DVD purchased from bikestop will only be accepted for credit if returned in its original unopened sealed packing. Alternatively a faulty video or DVD will be replaced with new version of the same title.
If you exercise your right of cancellation after goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to bike stop at your own cost. You must take reasonable care to ensure that the goods are not damaged in the meantime or in transit and you will be liable for any loss or damage during your possession of the goods and whilst in transit to us. We strongly recommend that goods are returned to us using an insured carrier service. Once you have notified us that you are cancelling the contract, we will refund or credit your card within 30 days of the receipt of the goods by us, for the sum that has been paid by you, or debited from your credit card for the goods, excluding postal / shipping charges and other reasonable charges incurred by us. In the case of mail orders all refunds shall be subject to the buyer producing proof of purchase and returning goods carriage paid. If you are unable to return the goods, bike stop may arrange collection at your cost, (not exceeding the actual cost) which will be deducted from the amount to be refunded subject to our conditions.
Returned goods may be subject (at our discretion) to a restocking charge of 10% of the value of the goods ordered.
All prices shown include VAT @ 17.5% where applicable.
At bike stop we value your custom and pride ourselves on our customer service. We will do our best to ensure that you are completely happy with your purchase.
