MOTOGP - ROUND 10

Can it really be round 10 already?

CZECH REPUBLIC - 2nd - 4th AUGUST

Yes it definitely is round 10 of Marc Márquez’s 8th title winning season, and even though the challenge from all the other riders seems to have evaporated I have to admit it’s still been great to watch a rider who’s at his absolute peak. Even Valentino Rossi at his greatest wasn’t this dominant, he had to fight for his titles where as Marquez seems to effortlessly win in style on a bike that nobody else can ride!

I don’t know what’s happened to Andrea Dovizioso this season but he just hasn’t turned up for most of it, every time the camera catches him in the garage he doesn’t look like a man that’s enjoying the racing at all. Can he turn it around in the Czech GP? Well he did win it last year so there’s a pretty good chance he could.

Danilo Petrucci will definitely fancy his chances this weekend, he knows he can beat his teammate and the Ducatis are fast around this track so don’t be surprised if he’s on the podium.

At least Valentino Rossi managed to finish the race last time out, I can’t honestly see him doing that well this weekend but hey, it’s Valentino I’m talking about so he’ll probably prove me wrong and finish on the podium (let’s hope)!

Cal Crutchlow seems to have lost his mojo and needs to find it pretty fast if he’s going to keep his ride next season. It’s going to be hard work against the Ducatis but if Cal can stay with them at the start, he has a chance.

Maverick Viñales is another rider that’s been struggling to perform. When he gets a good start he can be amazing, the trouble is most of the time he doesn’t get that great a start. With any luck he’ll get a flyer.

Álex Rins has shown everyone that he’s a top rider this season but the Suzuki still isn’t quite there yet, which again goes to show what a great job Rins is doing. Can he push for a win? I doubt it but he’ll definitely take the Suzuki to its limits.

Fabio Quartararo is the most exciting rider that’s appeared in MotoGP since Marc Marquez arrived. Fabio would dearly love to get his first win in the premier class but it’s next year when he’ll start to make his mark. Out of all the young riders in Motogp Fabio looks like a future champion and I don’t think it’s going to be that long before we see him challenge the great Marc Márquez.

After a nice few weeks rest I think Marc Márquez will right up for getting his next win to extend his lead in the championship.
