The sun is still trying to peek through every so often so we’re starting to see more bikers out and about on the roads, and with that more bikes come into conflict with other traffic. Today we’re going to go through some of those things we love to hate about car drivers, and even other bikers!
It's getting close to that time of year again where everybody's supposed to declare their love and affection for their significant other, and if they're a biker then you can show you really care by getting them something that'll enhance their riding life. If you detest the whole idea, or are lacking that significant other then it's definitely a perfect time to treat yourself regardless!
More important than ever with the weather turning from autumnal to wintry, layers are the best way to keep warm on a motorbike. Keeping yourself warm head to toe is not only the most comfortable way to be, but it’ll also keep you safer as your fingers will work properly, and it’ll reduce the distraction of being cold. Base layers are key to this, however they are part of a system of layers that’ll keep you warm and dry, no matter the weather.
You're riding home, it's dark, windy, wet, and most of all, cold. We've all been there at some point in our riding lives, and if you aren't prepared for it, it's a miserable experience. All you can focus on is being cold and getting home, and everything else fades into the background. When you get home it still takes forever to warm up again! What if there was a way to prevent this from ever happening though, without having to splash out on a massive tourer with huge fairing, heated saddle and grips, and the best textile winter gear? Thankfully it's simple, heated motorcycle gear; easy to fit, use, and highly effective at keeping the chill out of your whole body.
November is nearly behind us, and the end of the year is nearly in sight, which can mean only one thing, it's Christmas soon! If you're looking for ideas for your biker friend/other half/relative, or even yourself, you're in the right place.
If there’s one thing that’s synonymous with bikers, it’s stereotypes. People who don’t ride bikes generally have one for us – nutters who drive at 100mph between cars, but bikers have their own ones, and we all know someone who conforms to at least one of them!
(Note, these are all made in jest…however if you take offence to any of these stereotypes, there’s a good chance you might just conform to one!)
It's near that time of year once more where you're supposed to show extra affection to your other half - the question is which other half are you supposed to treat? On the one hand you may have a girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband, but your bike probably wants to feel some love too! If your other half is a biker then this list is for you, they'll feel the love, and pass it onto their pride and joy too.
