This is the bottom half of a suit that is the evolution of a suit called the Kalix. The new Kalix 2.0 name sounds similar, but the suit is very different. You will need to read about the jacket to understand just how improved the new combination is. But the pants are also much nicer to wear than the old ones. To start with they are made from a much more supple and comfortable, 2-layer, Gore-Tex Performance Shell as opposed to the 3-layer laminate construction of the previous version. The new pant is vented, whereas its predecessor wasn’t. Rukka has also managed to lower the price of the trouser, although it still comes fully equipped with D30 armour and the company’s AirCushion and Antiglide systems in the seat. What you don’t get with the Kalix 2.0 pant is any thermal liner. Go for merino, something like Rukka’s Down-X padded trouser, or even something electric. Put the jacket and pants together and you get an amazing Gore-Tex, laminated suit with a six year warranty for the price of an ordinary laminated suit.
