Head Size

How to Measure
To find the right helmet size, measure all the way round your head at the widest point. Keep the tape measure above your ears and make sure that the tape measure is not too tight, nor too loose. Take your measurement in centimeters (cm), not inches.

Checking for Best Fit
When a new helmet is first worn, it should actually be slightly tight, with the interior coming into contact with most of the head, but not so restrictive that it causes any pain. There should be no "hot spots" - places where the helmet's interior puts pressure on specific points of the skull or face - but it should not move around freely. With time, a helmet will adjust to match the shape of the rider's head as it is worn and goes through "break-in" and loosens up a little. However, it should never become loose enough to easily turn from side to side.
  • Put the helmet on - it should be a little tight as it goes on over the head
  • The helmet should sit on the head evenly with the eye port's upper edge sitting just above the eyebrows and have good peripheral vision available to see side-to-side
  • Try putting a finger between the helmet interior and the head. If it easily fits, a smaller size should be tried next. Note that some helmet models allow for the cheek pads to be changed out for better fitment, so consider this too when checking for proper sizing

PRODUCT DETAILS

•The Schuberth E1 Helmet is the latest feature in the Schuberth Range. The E1 offers adventure riders a premium modular helmet designed to excel when the ride leaves the road, and moves onto the dirt. The Schuberth team created the E1 using Schuberth's very own aeroacoustics lab, which helped to create a helmet optimized for both aerodynamic and aeroacoustic performance. Using Schuberth's Anti-Roll-Off System to keep the helmet in place, Removable and Washable inner linings, Schuberth have created a helmet, perfect for all adventures. The biggest new feature is the fully articulating peak visor, which can be adjusted to three different positions independently from the visor and chin bar. The E1 can be worn with both the visor and peak in place, or riders can choose to simply remove either piece, to suit the needs of the ride. The E1 also features a closable air vent in the chin bar to make sure that the rider gets the air they need as the ride progresses and enhances, while a removable and washable filter helps to clean the air in dirty and dusty conditions. The E1 includes a built-in antenna for Schuberth's SRC- System PRO. Taking advantage of the latest in Cardo communication technology, the Bluetooth® SRC-System serves as an intercom with other riders and can connect to a GPS unit, MP3 player or mobile phone for navigation, music listening or phone calls.

General Features :
•Interior liner has been designed with fewer seams and a more universal interior fit
•Improved EPS with integrated antennas for SRC- System which improves radio and Bluetooth range
•Micro-lock ratchet chin strap
•Large reflective panels on neckroll
•Improved faceshield ratchet mechanism
•Integrated sun visor

Outer Shell :
•The outer shell is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight.
•Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber
•Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight
•Glass fibre with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy
•Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds
•Directionally stable
•No oscillatory tendency
•No buffeting
•Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell

SRC-System Ready :
•The E1 is equipped to accommodate the Schuberth SRC communication system (sold separately)- see recommended products section below. To guarantee ideal radio reception, the E1 is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost FM and Bluetooth reception.

Eps :
•The EPS foam liner is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution.
•Made of specially optimized EPS foam Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption

Inner Lining :
•A special inner lining of the E1 was developed according to Schuberth's innovative Comfort Fit concept that ensures the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials, with the additional use of Interpower coatings, also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system.
•COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C)
•Optimized fit
•Variable venting for effective ventilation
•Adjustable for summer/winter
•Allergen-free
•Antibacterial
•Removable comfort cheek and head band pads

Ventilation :
•Thanks to the design of the vents, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60%. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam liner and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensures that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area.

A.R.O.S. And Neck Strap :
•The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) was especially developed by SCHUBERTH as a safety feature and is incorporated into every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the helmet cannot roll off of the head when the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted:
•The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt Reduces the chance of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides Micro-lock ratchet lock

Anti-Fog Visor :
•The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without the use of tools.
•City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds Anti fog visor insert prevents shield from fogging
