The boot has a contoured shin plate that is injected with high modulus PU for a high level of impact and abrasion resistance. The reinforced leather plate runs along the rear of the boot, with an extended inside and outside plate that guards the side and toebox area of the boot. It has a patented 'ankle brace' with shock absorbing ankle padding, and an internal plastic reinforcement on the inner side of the boot that is covered by thick stamped suede for increased grip and heat resistance. The Alpinestars exclusive all terrain high grip rubber component is a sole with a contoured stainless steel shank and steel sole guard. The boots are closed using four buckles with memory, featuring a quick release/locking system. The buckles themselves are injected with high impact resistant technopolymer.
