Bike Stop's Top Sport Touring Kit for £1200
To all you keen people looking for some new motorcycle gear you can use day in day out or for an upcoming trip, look no further, as a follow up to my blog on Bike Stop's top men's motorcycle kit for under £600, I thought I would give my top picks for sport touring motorcycle kit for around the £1000 mark.
Helmet - Shoei NXR (Plain)
I picked out the Shoei NXR helmet as, although it may not be the best all round touring helmet, since its launch it has been unbelievably popular as a versatile helmet for multiple purposes. Good for sports riding, everyday riding and even touring thanks to it being relatively quiet and lightweight compared to its Arai counterparts.

Jacket - Dainese Tempest D-Dry Waterproof Jacket
The Dainese Tempest jacket provides excellent value for money, if you need a jacket to get you through all conditions while keeping you safe, the Tempest is the one for you. It's made from Duratex fabric with a D-Dry waterproof membrane and a water repellent coating on the outer layer.

Trousers - Dainese Tempest D-Dry Waterproof Trousers
Much like the Tempest jacket, the trousers are the same sort of construction, being fully waterproof with the added benefit of a removable thermal liner and air vents on the thighs, meaning you can use these trousers for multiple purposes all year round.

Boots - Dainese Torque D1 Gore-Tex Out Boots
These are probably my favourite boots ever, if you looked up the meaning of 'all purpose' you would probably find a mention of these boots. They are basically a race boot that are quite comfortable to walk in because of the D-Axial joint, but also fully waterproof/ breathable thanks to the Gore-Tex liner. This means you could use them for touring around the Alps as well as on a trackday at Silverstone.

Gloves - Knox Zero 2 OutDry Gloves
I picked the Knox Zero 2 OutDry gloves as these are different to most colder climate gloves. The Zero 2 OutDry gloves have a laminated waterproof membrane bonded to the leather exterior of the glove, which keeps the glove relatively thin while stopping any water passing the initial leather outer layer of the glove. Did I also mention that because of this bonded layer, when you pull the gloves off the fingers will not pull out? These features make these Knox gloves easy to use and very effective on a long trip or day to day use.
