MOTOGP - ROUND 3 - 14th APRIL

CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS

So this weekend is a foregone conclusion - Marc Marquez to win!

It is true that Marc has never been beaten in a MotoGP race in America, but surely by the law of averages he can’t be invincible. Well only a brave man or an idiot would bet against him this weekend as he shows no signs of complacency or any sign of slowing down. I’d go as far as to say as he’s a man that doesn’t make many mistakes so only a DNF or mechanical issue is going to ruin his race.

Valentino Rossi was absolutely brilliant in Argentina, admittedly a world away from Marquez but Marquez was on a different planet that day. Can Valentino do it again? Well he did look really relaxed and back to true form so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the podium again.

Andrea Dovizioso came third behind Valentino which must have hurt, so expect Dovizioso to be a bit more aggressive this weekend.

Dovizioso’s teammate also deserves a mention.

Danilo Petrucci has gone under the radar but he’s a great rider on a factory Ducati so let’s see what he can do.

Maverick Viñales just doesn’t seem to have his head in the right place at the moment but a good result here should do the trick.

Cal Crutchlow had a nightmare at Argentina with the supposed jump start that nobody could see even in slow motion! But Cal needs to forget that and I’m sure he will.

Jorge Lorenzo isn’t showing any signs that he’s comfortable on the Honda yet and I think he’s still a few races away from doing so - but when he does it’s going to be worth waiting for!

Also keep an eye out for last years Moto2 winner Francesco Bagnaia as he might just be the surprise on the grid - I hope so!

The king of the Americas will rule supreme - again!!!!
