I actually think Andrea Dovizioso has a good chance at this meeting. He knows the Ducati is strong on this track, Jorge Lorenzo proved that last year by winning, but the pressure is really on Andrea as he has to deliver.
Marc Marquez looked incredibly pleased at finishing second last time out, and so he should, as he finished in front of his main rival Andrea Dovizioso. Marc will pull out all the stops to beat Andrea here too, and if he does manage it I think he’ll win.
Danilo Petrucci showed the world why he’s on the Ducati with his fantastic win in Mugello - and it was a wonderful two fingers up to all the press and doubters who were slating him.
Can he do the same as Jorge Lorenzo did last year and win back to back races? Danilo is a very talented rider who now knows he has beaten both Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso in a fair fight so he’ll definitely be up for it, but I think his teammate will make sure it doesn’t happen.
Jack Miller is still looking good this season, it’s just a shame that he’s had some reliability issues when he’s been in great positions.
Alex Rins is doing a great job on the Suzuki but I think he’ll struggle to stay with the Ducati’s and Honda on the really long straight in Calalunya.
Fabio Quartararo is obviously an amazing talent but Catalunya isn’t going to be an easy race for the Frenchman on the under powered Yamaha.
It has to be said, so far this season certainly isn’t boring! Let’s hope this weekend has a few more surprises!
