Hi guys! For this blog i thought I would go through what I think the best sounding production bikes of all time are. Most of us love a good bit of exhaust noise while riding, but what is the best?
Here is my countdown!
10 - Triumph Daytona 675
The unmistakable Triumph triple we have all come to love, i must admit the sound didn't impressive me much initially with the characteristic low speed whine, but hearing the engine growl when the throttle is cranked open is ooooooh so good.

9 - Yamaha MT-09
Why another triple? Doesn't it sound just like the Daytona? Strangely I don't think so. It has less of the low speed whine and more of a raw brutal sound with the growl at the top end of the rev range. Simply amazing, well done Yamaha.

8 - Ducati Panigale 1299
What can i say? What a sound, even in stock form. The only production motorcycle I know that will shoot flames out of a stock exhaust, I wonder how they got the bike through emissions testing... Listen to that brutal V-twin note paired with some sexy Termignoni exhausts.

7 - Honda VFR 750R NC30
Some may think its blasphemy this bike isn't further up this list, but truth is I prefer the sound of the Aprilia V4's. None the less the any V4 is a good V4 in my books, listen to the sound of one of the most collectable bikes on the market!

6 - Honda NR 750
Yep Honda again, they were on fire in the 90's. The NR 750 arguably has the most unique engine on this list. It has oval shaped pistons with 2 con rods per piston, effectively making the engine a V8, even though its classed as a V4.

5 - Kawasaki H2R
Not road legal, but still a production motorcycle, the supercharged in line 4 engine just sounds plain angry, you won't be needing a barbecue when you own one of these, just barbecue your meat by holding it over the exhaust....

4 - Ducati Desmosedici rr
How this bike is road legal? I will never know. As close to a Moto GP Ducati you will get, it uses a Moto GP inspired V4 power plant and sounds the business. You will need a small fortune to own one though.

3 - Aprilia RSV4
I have memories when i was growing up of kids flying down our road on little 2 stroke Aprilia RS 125's, I remember thinking god those sound annoying. Well my opinion changed when Aprilia gave birth to the V4 powered RSV4 super bike. I can not explain how much i love the sound.

2 - Honda CBX 1000
In my opinion the bike isn't really a looker, but your friends will hear it before they see it. I don't know many other bikes with an inline 6 cylinder engine and it gives this bike a true F1 style sound. For this reason the Honda CBX 1000 comes in at number 2 on my list!

1 - Yamaha R1 (2015 onwards)
Want a bike that sounds just like the M1 Yamaha Moto GP machine? In 2015 Yamaha gave you your dream! One of the only inline 4 engine on this list, but the crossplane crankshaft truly makes it sound unique, love it or hate it I think its the best sounding production bike ever!
