How to Measure
It's easy to find the right shoe size, just place both feet (in your normal riding socks) on a piece of paper and carefully draw the outline of each foot. Make sure you keep the pen pointing straight down to get a true outline! Then measure the lengths of both outlines from the top edge of your big toes to the back edge of your heel. If your two feet measure differently, take the longer of the two measurements and that's your size - all measurements in centimetres (cm).
Helpful Hint
Remember to wear your normal riding socks and if you ride around the year you might want to make a bit of allowance for thicker winter socks.
Like the Sidi Performer boot, Sidi have opted to construct the Performer Mid boot from TechnoMicro, which has plenty of benefits for motorcycle riders. TechnoMicro is a microfibre material with fibres less than one thousandth of the thickness of silk. These fibres are bonded tightly to create a flexible and sturdy alternative to leather with the advantages so being a lighter weight than its leather counterparts are. The Microfibre material is also water-repellent, breathable and allows for the escape of water vapour from inside, ensuring that your feet stay fresh all day.
The Performer boots are lined with a Teflon mesh, making for a boot with superior comfort. The liner is made up of hundreds of tiny air pockets, which allow the air inside the boot to circulate freely around the foot. It is also an excellent wicking material, which draws moisture away from the foot and out through the breathable TechnoMicro upper. Thanks to the mid cut styling of the Mid Performer, the boot offers flexibility at the ankle for unrestricted freedom of movement, whether on the bike or walking around at your destination.
Protection in the Performer Mid boot comes in the form of toe, ankle and metatarsus protection to minimise damage should the worst occur. Internal and external ankle protection points as well as metatarsus protection, help to offering impact protection at these areas by dissipating impact energy away from these areas, increasing your recovery time. Further protection against wear and tear comes in the form of the gearshift pads to protect from the wear that can occur at the upper toe from changing gear as well as any bruising that can occur when changing gear aggressively. Additionally, a shock absorbing heel cup helps to protect the heel from impacts; this heel cup has been specifically shaped to offer the most protection possible while remaining smooth on the inside ankle for a greater adherence with the bike.
